  18. I have a Zoom V.34x, and I almost always get a full 28.8k carrier. The 
  19. lowest I've even seen is 26.4k. You are talking about carrier, right? This
  20. could be either the quality of your phone lines, which you can't do a 
  21. thing about, or your setup, perhaps your PPP script or something. The 
  22. init string I use, in case it matters, is AT&F&C1&D0W1. The W1 just gives 
  23. me the full readout of carrier speed and everything.
